Shift Pattern Assignment Page

Once you create a Shift Pattern, you can assign it to your employees. Future weeks being generated for that employee will use the pattern to create shifts

To view the Shift Pattern Assignment Page, click the Members menu on the top menu bar, then select the Pattern Assignment from the view menu.

On mobile devices, menus might be collapsed into a hamburger menu in the top right corner. Click the hamburger first, then select Members.

Pattern Assignment page works with Paging and Sorting. Refer to the Paging, Filtering, Sorting for more.

From the Shift Pattern Assignment Page, you can perform the following tasks

Assign Shift Pattern

  • Click the Assign Shift Pattern button in the top right corner.
  • Select an employee and the Shift Pattern to be assigned. Click the Next button.
  • Specify the date on when the shift pattern should start. This can be in the past or in future.
  • Optionally specify when the Pattern Assignment should end. If you leave it blank, the pattern will be used for all future weeks.
  • Use the preview table below to verify that the Shift Pattern is applied correctly.
  • Click the Create button.

Shift Patterns Assignments are only used to create new shifts. If you modify a Shift Pattern Assignment, the new assignment will be used to create new shifts, but it has no effect on the shifts and weeks that's already been created.

Edit a Shift Pattern Assignment

  • Locate the Shift Patter Assignment you'd like to edit.
  • Click the rightmost column on the table row to show a dropdown menu, then select Edit.
  • Adjust the start and end dates as needed.
  • Click the Save Changes button.

When your employee already has a Shift Pattern assigned, and if you wish to assign a different Shift Pattern, you must Create another Shift Pattern Assignment. The old assignment will be used until the start of the new assignment comes into effect. In other words, assignments form the later start date will override the assignments from the earlier dates.

Delete Shift Pattern

  • Locate the Shift Pattern you'd like to delete.
  • Click the rightmost column on the table row to show a dropdown menu, then select Delete.

Note - deleting a Shift Pattern Assignment has no effect on the shifts that's already been created.
